Precious Joubert (pronounced Joo-Behr) is a multifaceted singer, songwriter, producer, musician, vocal director, music educator, and artist coach. Known for her soulful voice and dynamic stage presence, she shines both as a solo recording artist and as the lead vocalist of the acclaimed band, Sound of the City (SOTC). Her vocal versatility has also made her a sought-after background vocalist for award-winning performers including Mýa, Chrisette Michele, Glenn Lewis, Rahsaan Patterson, Ledisi, Leela James, Chanté Moore, Deniece Williams, and many more.
Education
Eager to deepen her expertise, Precious studied Music Business and Media Communications at Full Sail University, one of the nation’s leading schools for entertainment and media. In 2021, she expanded her studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, further honing her craft and business acumen in the music industry.
Entrepreneurship
Beyond the stage, Precious serves as Co-Owner, CEO, and Creative Director of Sound of the City Entertainment, LLC, a production, live band, and vocal backing company. She is also the founder and artist coach of PJAlwaysWrite, an artist development company dedicated to “raising a generation of healthy, fearless, and educated creatives.”

Over the years, Precious has released a collection of heartfelt singles, including her most recent works “Send a Message” and “You” (2025), continuing her mission to inspire through music.
